Introduction
”Hi everyone, welcome to FRISS Lab On Tour. We’re at the airport right now because we have a special item for you. We fly to Latin America to see how insurers deal with fraud and industry trends there.
In Guatemala, as in other countries in Latin America, whenever one of our clients has an accident or a damage, a person of our company has to show up on the site to evaluate.
Manual claim handling
When we did that, most of the claims had to be handled by paperwork. We gave forms to our client so they had to fill them out. That was taking a long time for our clients and for the people of our company when they came back to the office and processed all the paperwork.
Claims automation
In order to shorten the time and in order to have a better service for our client we decided to digitalize our forms in a tablet. Attending the claims on a tablet gave us an advantage because we were processing the claim in real time, we reduced the errors.
