During the Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA) Amsterdam on 10 and 11 May, several ‘insurtech’ companies showed their latest developments to the insurance market. After an engaging presentation and live demo, FRISS was elected the best “Show & Tell” with a DIAmond Award.
Cross-over possibilities and insurance fraud
This year, over 50 organizations took the stage of the largest European event where insurtech and innovations within the insurance industry are discussed. Visitors and presenters attended from all over the globe. The solutions and innovations that were topic of discussion varied from data apps to models used by corporations to ally with relevant start-ups.
A lot of attention went to cross-over possibilities within different lines of business. The future challenges for the automotive sector and car insurances proved to be another popular talk. Hot topic during the two-day conference was also insurance fraud.
Image Analytics live demo
FRISS used a live demo of its image analytics technology to present how an accident report can be replaced by a single photo. CTO Christian van Leeuwen showed how an image can be used efficiently and accessible in insurance processes. Using photos within damage claims provides the insurer with information about location, date, vehicle data and the impact of the damage. Multimedia functions as fraud prevention.
DIAmond Award 2017
Each year at DIA, a so-called DIAmond Award is granted to the team with the best “Show & Tell” on stage. This time, FRISS was crowned as the lucky winner. The prize was based on a highly engaging presentation and demo, according to the jury. CEO Jeroen Morrenhof and CTO Christian van Leeuwen collected the award. Morrenhof: “This award is not only a great recognition for our technical solutions, but most of all it reflects that at FRISS we are working towards the right vision. By reducing fraud we can make insurance more honest, bit by bit.”
